ARE YOU READY FOR BATTLE?
A friend sent me this Tarot Reading by some witchy YouTube lady.
Apparently the month of October will be a very battle-ful month for Aries.
To prepare for battle, we need all the psychological tools we can get our hands on.
My lovely assistant Vanna White drew five random cards from each of these three different decks:
The Thoth Tarot Deck, created by Aleister Crowley
The BitPersonality Playing Cards, created by me (both Seasons 1 and 2)
A stack of Pokémon cards we bought at Walgreen’s
Here’s what we drew:
Pokemon: Fire, Water, Zigzagoon, Psychic, Dream Ball
Crowley Tarot: Four of Swords (Truce), The Magus, Three of Swords (Sorrow), Knight of Swords, Prince of Swords
BP: The Clone, The Beauty, The Trickster, The Gift, The Nerd
This is our lineup that will help us for battle. One very noticeable pattern is that the Tarot deck gave us four different swords, and the Magician (Magus). Swords are associated with the element Air, and with the Mind. So this will be an extremely mental battle for us.
Let’s group them into Triads that make sense of this whole team.
Triad 1: Sorrow, The Beauty, and Psychic.
Sorrow has three swords, and has Saturn in Libra. Saturn is boundaries, and Libra is beauty. Notice that the Beauty (me in a dress at a burner festival) is locked in a cage (Libra inside of Saturn). This creates Sorrow. It is the turning inward. Notice that the symbol of The Beauty is an eye, much like the Psychic. This can be the eye that looks inward, or the gaze of others at the sorrowful beauty locked in her cage.
The power of this trio is internally harnessing. It’s more about psychological warfare.
Triad 2: Truce, The Gift, Dream Ball
Truce is the four of swords, and is signified by Jupiter in Libra. Libra is about harmony, and Jupiter is about expansiveness. So this Triad is about expansive harmony, like that offered as a Gift. What does the Dream Ball contain? Anything you’ve ever wanted. Here’s your Gift.
The power of this trio is external diplomacy through gift-giving. War is not always about fighting, it is also about peace-making.
Triad 3: Knight of Swords, The Trickster, Fire
The Knight of Swords charges into battle. “He rides directly into the storm, waving his sword in an eagerness to overcome all difficulties.”1 Same with the Trickster. Look he’s shirtless and ready to brandish his fiery wit to tackle the problems.
This triad is about being on the front line of battle. They are the shock troops of informational warfare.
Triad 4: Prince of Swords, The Nerd, Zigzagoon
The Prince of Swords takes a more detached approach to conflict. He retreats from the battlefield, just as the Nerd retreats into his laboratory to tinker with his creations.
Zigzagoon is a dog-like creature that at first glance might seem more suited for the front lines of the battlefield. And he is, but it is the Nerd that affixes him with and repairs his weapon, Pin Missile.
The Zigzagoon is an animal-like creature that follows robotic behavior, much like a creation of Ivan Robotnik. The Prince of Swords and The Nerd both use the power of their mind to contain and channel the animal forces into something mathematical.
This triad is about using Research & Development to enhance the army’s Technology.
Triad 5: The Magus, The Clone, Water
Finally we have The Magus, the only Trump card of our five Tarot cards. Why is it that he is with such a seemingly weak card, The Clone? But ah, The Clone is quite strong. He is a shapeshifter, he knows how to blend in. Much like water, which is everywhere but goes unnoticed (the human body is made of 70% water).
Watching a Magician’s Show, everything seems ordinary, nothing strange. Until that one moment when it’s not.
Teamwork
How does this cluster of triads fit together? Let’s do some two-by-two-jitsu to put them all into one overall battle-plan.
Extroverted vs Introverted and Masculine vs Feminine
The Introverted Feminine is about internal feeling and psychological power
The Extraverted Feminine is about diplomacy and relationship-building
The Introverted Masculine is about reflective tinkering and creation
The Extraverted Masculine is about charging into battle with fiery wit
And at the center of it all sits the Magician Clone, who permeates everything like water, waiting for the right moment to reveal his Trump Card.
