How the hell does the I-Ching work?
How is it that one can connect to the divine simply by flipping three coins six times each?

Let’s contemplate Hexagram 26: The Taming Power of the Great.
26
1110011.
4 penetrating lines, 2 yielding lines.
Mountain over heaven.
How the heck are all these symbols intertwined?
You have now collected enough force to realize even very ambitious and all-encompassing plans. The ability to control forces, to direct them, to hold them back, or to use them for a purpose will increase your reputation and the ability to assert yourself.
Consider this. 26. That’s how many letters are in the English Alphabet.
There are only 26 of them, but together they are great. When their forces combine they can encompass all of human (English) thought. They can write Shakespeare and Hemingway and the KJV bible. You get the idea. These 26 letters combined are so powerful that when we look at them together in the right combination, they make us think we understand reality.
