Welcome to A Space Between Eras, our first ever episode of the BitPersonality University Lecture Series. We have a very special talk prepared for you today, on this Valentine’s Day of 2024.
We are blessed to have with us a prolific philosopher of education. In our Space Between Eras we need innovative new thoughts and ideas and ideologies to guide us into a brighter future, and this speaker might just be the man for the job. His books have been published on 39 planets in 6 different solar systems. Fresh off a string of prominent appearances on Good Morning America, The History Channel, and Good Afternoon Pluto, our speaker was also voted “The Most Important Philosopher Alive” by New Jersey Magazine.
This scholar has traveled all the way from the planet Uranus to share with us his unique view of the world, just in time for Valentine’s Day. And with Mars and Pluto conjunct exactly at the 0th degree of Aquarius (which is ruled by our speaker’s home planet), it’s a perfect time to introduce his explosive views on Love and Education. The stars and the holiday calendar have aligned to manifest this exciting presentation which is sure to cause an eruption in the world of philosophy and education.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, please welcome… Dr. Zap Streib!

Thank you, Thank you, thank you, thank you for having me. Let me begin.
Crisis in Education
You may have heard that there’s a crisis in education. Test scores are dropping, teachers are exiting at an alarming rate, schools are being shot up left and right, and student attention spans are plummeting. It seems our public educational infrastructure is tearing apart at the seams.
Many solutions have been offered, and everyone seems to have their own opinion: “Teachers need to be paid more!” “Teachers are paid too much!” “The curriculum has been watered down!” “The curriculum is too restrictive on children’s imaginations!” “Get back to the classics and fundamentals!” “The classics and fundamentals are extensions of colonizer supremacy and should be thrown out!”
Just the fact that there are so many differing solutions offered points to how wicked1 this problem is. As we like to joke about on my home planet of Uranus: “Opinions are like assholes. Everyone’s got one, and they all stink.”
Except mine. Mine is great. Which is why I’m the one up on this stage.
What’s my opinion? Well it’s not so complicated. Follow along and I’ll walk you through it.
My colleagues and I have come up with a new ideology that will solve all these problems.
We call it:
…

Galacto-Amorous Personism
At the core of Galacto-Amorous Personism is the truth that Amor makes the world go round. Not any old love, but Amor. Ya know, that thing the poets sing about.
If there is one thing to take away from this lecture, it’s that there is not enough Amor to go around in our school systems, and that’s what is causing this crisis.
In this presentation I’ll explain exactly what I mean, so follow along carefully. Here’s a little preview of what’s to come:
In the first two sections, we will lay out some theory and terminology as to what amor is, how it defines us as a species and how we learn, and how our education system disservices our students.
Then we’ll spend one section observing how our theory applies to a very important phenomenon: the internet.
Finally, we will use the last two sections to present some solutions that my colleagues and I have been working on.
Stay tuned.
